Hey Guys,

Just a quick heads up. We sent the surveys out so you should have them now. They were sent to the email you used to place your order on Kickstarter. 

If you can't find your survey try searching "Wanaka" in your email search bar. Depending on your email preferences, your survey may have ended up in a random folder. Still no luck? You can enter your email HERE to have another survey email emailed to you. Make sure the email you enter is the one that matches your pledge on Kickstarter.

The survey is pretty straight forward so choosing your backpacks and adding adventure extras should be simple enough, but please take a second to read all the information on the first question. That will cover what to look out for during the survey.

Surveys! Comin' In Hot!

Hey All,

We just got everything we needed from Kickstarter so we are all lined up and ready to send surveys so you can choose the color of your backpack and select add on's. Becuase emails sent over the weekend tend to get swamped by all that junk mail you get (yeah, we hate it too), we will send them out Monday morning (October 16th) so keep an eye out for that! Your fellow backers will appreciate you taking the survey at your earliest convenience because we'll need most of the surveys completed before we can finalize our order.  

We have been in constant contact with our manufacturer and they are ready to get cranking. They have our order projections and have already started sourcing the raw materials for production. As soon as we have the surveys done, we will forward them the color quantities and they'll be in full-scale production. 

This is not our manufacturer's first rodeo. They work with some of the largest outdoor brands in the world so rest assured, the quality will be solid. We still plan to personally visit the factory during production to make sure everything is up to our satisfaction.

We will send a quick update on Monday after we send the surveys to remind you about them. We will also include some details on how to find your survey in case it gets filtered into your spam folder or trash.

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, we did it!

All because of your amazing support, the Wanaka Packable Daypack and Adapt Adventure System campaign is officially funded, over, and wildly successful! While all of the efforts and support leading up to this have been exciting, with the successful close of our campaign Wanaka is officially official. We're excited for the future of Wanaka Outdoors and we hope you are too. 

Our goal is to build a brand that people are genuinely excited to be a part of. Our mission is to create products that inspire people to pursue their passions, check boxes off their bucket list, get lost in adventure, and find some joy along the way. We're so grateful to have each of you as a foundation for that culture and mission. 

So now what?

We will continue to update you here but for the latest updates and for those who want to follow the production process follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. 

For those of you who aren't big on reading a long update, below is a quick summary. For those of you who like the dirty details, keep reading. 

• End of September: Campaign Ends 
• End of September: Watch for Kickstarter emails in case your payment is declined
• Early October: Reward Surveys Sent 
• Mid-October: Order Placed (production takes 60-90 days) 
• October-January: Quality Control 
• Mid-December to Mid-January: Production Finished 
• January-February: Shipping production to the US 
• January/February (depending on production and import time): Shipping to your door

Everything you'll need to know for the next few days, weeks, and months is listed below.

Don't miss out on getting your backpacks! There are a handful of pledges with declined or bounced payment methods. If this is you, Kickstarter will send you an email to resolve the payment issue so please take a look to see if you need to update your payment. If it isn't resolved, Kickstarter will not forward us the order.

Timeline:

• With the end of our campaign, Kickstarter will process all payments and then transfer the funds to us. This payment and transferring process takes around 14 days. 
• As soon as all the payments have processed and Kickstarter transfers us the funds, we will be ready to place the order but before that happens, we will need each of you to complete a short survey. We will send this survey to the email you used to pledge here on Kickstarter (account email).
• You can expect your rewards survey sometime in the next 10-14 days. We will keep you updated on an exact day so you'll know to look out for it as that time approaches. 
• In the survey, you will choose which color backpack(s) you would like, add on any extra backpacks or Adapt adventure products, and confirm shipping details. As Kickstarter backers, you will have exclusive access to backer pricing for all of the add-ons or additional backpacks. 
• The sooner everyone completes their survey, the sooner we can move into production and start cranking these babies out! Again, we'll give you a heads up before sending the survey. The survey will come to the email used to place your order on Kickstarter so be sure to check that email.
• This puts us placing the order in mid-October. Our manufacturer has a production time of 60-90 days. We have been in constant communication with them throughout our campaign keeping them updated on our latest order projections. They are ready to order the raw materials and begin production as soon as we give them the word.
• On this timeline, we expect to be wrapping up production in mid-December to mid-January. We will be doing quality control throughout production and of course, a thorough quality control check will be done before shipping.
• From there, we ship the packs from Vietnam to the USA. This process usually takes 25-40 days. The large variance is due to possible customs delays.  
• That puts us shipping to your door in mid-January to mid-February. We have teamed up with a great fulfillment company to fulfill and ship your orders quickly and accurately. They specialize in Crowdfunding and they'll be a great asset for us to make sure your rewards get to your quickly and in one piece. We will be very involved in the process to make sure everything is done correctly. 
• From there... grab your backpack and ADVENTURE ON 

SO... That's a lot of info but hopefully, that gives you a clear idea of our time frame. 

Our rewards say the estimated time of delivery in March. We know you're antsy to get your good and we're stoked to get them to you. As you can see, there is a lot that needs to happen to get them to you but we promise we'll do everything we can to get them to you as quickly as possible.

Hey Backers!

We're on the home stretch and that much closer to getting the Wanaka Pack out on your adventures with you. Our campaign ends tonight at 11:59 PM MST so remind that buddy of yours to get 'em while they're hot! 

As Kickstarter backers, you'll have access to exclusive pricing on add on's and you'll be the first to be notified about future product launches. And of course, you'll be the first to get your hands on the best travel and adventure pack out there. These are all good things... you should share good things with your friends :)

 Once our campaign ends we'll send another update with a detailed timeline and what to expect over the coming days, weeks, and months so keep an eye out for that. We'll be sending you a short survey so you can choose your backpack, include add on's, and confirm your shipping details. The sooner everyone answers that survey the sooner we can place the order and the sooner you can get the packs!

Greetings Everyone!

Man, time flies!  We have just under one week left on our campaign and we are blown away by the incredible response we have had to the WANAKA daypack and ADAPT adventure system!  

TWO QUICK REMINDERS FOR EVERYONE: COLORS / INCREASED SHARING PERKS

1. COLORS: If you haven't yet given input on the final colors selection take the survey below to weigh in on the final decision!  We have some exciting color options, so be sure to make your voice heard on what you like. Click on the 2 question survey below. 

 

2. GET PAID TO SHARE THE CAMPAIGN: We have seen a lot of people getting in on the action of getting paid to share our campaign through our friends at Kickbooster.  With only one week left, we just RAISED the percentage you get for sharing another 5%.
